Yuri ("we", "our", or "us") is a Telegram-based knowledge assistant. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Yuri, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using Yuri, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

• Telegram User ID and username — used to identify your account and deliver responses.
• Messages and links you send — URLs, text, and files forwarded to Yuri so we can process and summarize content on your behalf.
• Saved content and tags — articles, videos, notes, and categories you store in your personal knowledge base.
• Waitlist email address — if you sign up on our website, we collect your email to notify you of launch updates.
• Usage metadata — timestamps, command types, and error logs used to improve reliability and performance. No message content is included in these logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To process links and content you send and return summaries, transcriptions, or insights.
• To store and organize your personal knowledge base so you can retrieve it later.
• To send waitlist updates and product announcements (email only, with your consent).
• To debug errors and improve the service.

We do not use your content to train AI models, run advertising, or build profiles for third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share information only in the following limited cases:

• AI providers — content you send is processed by large language model APIs (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) solely to generate your response. These providers are contractually prohibited from retaining your data for training.
• Infrastructure providers — hosting, database, and storage services that operate under strict data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Retention

Your saved content and knowledge base are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual items or your entire knowledge base at any time by messaging Yuri directly. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest to protect your data. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel only. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Export your data in a portable format.

8. Children

Yuri is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify active users via Telegram. Continued use of Yuri after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
